Peru is located in the central west of South America . Its extensive territory incorporates three different regions in terms of relief and climate: coast, mountain range and forest.

Its borders are with Ecuador and Colombia in the north; with Chile in the south; with Brazil and Bolivia in the east; and the Pacific Ocean forms its western perimeter.
